The new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) gives individuals more control over how their personal information is used and makes it quicker and easier for them to check and update the information we hold.

We are fully committed to GDPR and have updated our privacy notice to tell you more about these changes.

Who we are
The Glasses Case Shop was set up to offer our customers a wide variety of glasses cases, readers and optical accessories leading to the ever catchy tagline – The one stop optical accessories shop. We have been supplying glasses cases, reading glasses and lens cleaning accessories to the optical industry for the last 15 years and realise that the variety we enjoy can not always be represented in every opticians, and not everyone who needs a glasses case is a regular visitor to an opticians either. As more people shop online we see it as a perfect opportunity to share the variety with you.

How we use your information

Information we hold is used by The Glasses Case Shop staff only for processing orders.  Delivery information may be shared with our chosen courier, this will include delivery name, address, telephone number and email in order for the courier to communicate the tracking of goods in transit.  If you choose to receive updates or marketing information this will be sent by email only.

We do not store your credit/debit card information on our website.  All electronic transactions you make or receive from us will be dealt with by using the Stripe payment system who provide the technical, fraud prevention, and banking infrastructure required to operate our on-line payment system.

We do not share your information with any third parties.  You have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to correct this data when incorrect or out of date.  

The Glasses Case Shop respects your rights to privacy and the protection of your personal information.  All staff have been trained and updated on the new GDPR rules.

How long information is kept

Information will be kept securely for the period of time necessary to fulfil your order and future customer support relating to the warranty.  For accounting purposes, information will be kept for six years after which it will be destroyed. .
