1. Make a contract with us

1.1 When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods. We will send you an email to confirm that we have received your order.

1.2 Once we have reviewed your order we will e-mail you again to confirm that we accept your order, and that a contract has been made between us.

1.3 In the unlikely event that the goods are no longer available, or that we have made a pricing mistake, we will advise you of this. You will not receive an email confirming acceptance of your order, and there will be no contract between us.

1.4 Images of products on this website are for illustrative purposes only. Your goods may vary slightly from the image shown on the website and will not include any of the pictured accessories, unless stated in the specification of the goods.

Unless you advise to the contrary we will be free to copy, disclose, distribute, incorporate and otherwise use such material for any and all purposes.

3. How to place an order

3.1 You can use our website to place an order by selecting the product you wish to buy and adding it to your basket. Items you do not require can be removed from your basket at any time.

3.2 Carriage charges will be shown prior to you placing your order.

3.3 You will be required to pay for the goods in full at the time of ordering.

3.4 We use secure payment facilities for online purchases. You can pay for your order by Visa, Mastercard or Delta/Connect or Paypal

3.5 Promotional prices only apply during the period stated.

3.6 All prices quoted on our website are in GBP and include Value Added Tax at the current rate.

3.7 Once your order has been confirmed, changes may not be possible or may incur additional charges or delays.

3.8 Once your order is complete we will send an email when your order has been dispatched.

4. Delivery & Carriage Charges

4.1 Goods will normally be despatched from our warehouse within 2 working days and any estimated despatch date is an estimate, which can change without notice.

4.2 Goods will be delivered via your chosen delivery method at the till, and UK deliveries aim to be with you within 2-5 working days of despatch.

4.3 Very rarely, your order may arrive in more than one delivery.

4.4 We can deliver anywhere in mainland Great Britain and Republic of Ireland & Europe.

4.5 We will deliver the goods to the premises you specify on your order. All standard deliveries in the UK are despatched via Royal Mail 2nd Class signed for so someone must be available to sign to confirm delivery of your order, which is normally between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm Monday-Friday. Next day delivery is available if an order is placed before 1:00 pm Monday to Thursday and would be made via Royal Mail Next Working Day delivery. An order placed before 1:00 pm on Friday would receive their goods the following Monday.

4.6 Despatch times are calculated in working days Monday to Friday. If you order after 1pm the next working day will be considered the first working day for despatch. In case of Bank Holidays please allow an extra two working days. We do not despatch between Christmas and New Year so please allow an extra time in this period.

4.7 We aim to despatch within 2 working days but sometimes due to high order volume certain in sales periods please allow 3 working days plus the time estimated by your delivery choice before contacting us. We will attempt to email you if we become aware of an unexpected delay.

4.8 If you change the delivery address once the goods have been despatched to you, we reserve the right to pass on any extra charges made by our carriers for redirecting your delivery.

4.9 If the goods are lost or damaged in transit, please let us know promptly.

4.10 Sometimes, for reasons beyond our control we may be prevented from delivering your goods as planned. These might include things such as accidents, breakdowns, fire, flood, storm, severe weather, acts of god, war, riot, civil commotion, malicious damage or the default of our suppliers. We will try to put things right as soon as possible however we can’t be responsible where this causes a delay or failure in delivering your goods.

4.11 Free Standard Delivery (see 4.5 above) is available on orders where the goods cost more than £30.

5. Returns, Refunds and Exchanges.

5.1 This policy does not apply to goods ordered by businesses which are exempt from the Distance Selling Regulations, or the following goods which are exempt from the right to cancel.

5.2 In accordance with the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 “The consumer has the right to cancel within seven working days for most goods and services. This period runs from the day the contract was concluded for services, and from the day after the day of delivery for goods.”

5.3 Further to this we offer the right to return goods within 14 days from date of invoice for a refund, this does not include postage costs. To do this, please e-mail us. We are unable to accept return requests by phone.

5.4 You do not have to give any reason for return. However, a brief explanation will help us to improve the service we offer to customers in the future.

5.5 Items must be in original packaging, including all original boxes, packaging materials, manuals, blank warranty cards and all accessories and documents provided by the manufacturer. If our labels are removed from the product – the warranty becomes void.

5.6 You must ensure that the goods are packaged adequately to protect against damage. We strongly recommend that you fully insure your package that you are returning. We suggest the use of a carrier that can provide you with a proof of delivery. theglassescaseshop.co.uk will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

5.7 All shipping back to theglassescaseshop.co.uk is paid for by the customer. We are unable to refund you postal fees.

5.8 Goods found to be tampered with by the customer will not be replaced but returned at the customers expense.

5.9 We do not accept items for exchange. You may return a product and reorder another.

5.10 Returns will take approximately 5 working days for the process once the goods have arrived.

5.11 We will refund all monies paid to us by you within 30 days, less any costs due under this contract.

5.12 Customers exempt from the distance selling regulations may not cancel an order without our mutual agreement.

5.13 This cancellation policy does not affect your legal rights - for example, if goods are faulty or mis-described.

6. Faulty / Incorrect Goods

6.1 In the unlikely event that the product arrives faulty or incorrect, please notify us by email or in writing providing details of the problem. This will be given special priority and we will endeavor to resolve the problem and replace the goods as quickly as possible. It is helpful if you can provide us with a digital photograph of the problem as this may save you having to return the goods for inspection.

6.2 The cost of returning goods to us is your responsibility, however on inspection we will refund your reasonable postage costs, providing that the goods are found to be faulty.

6.3 We will deal with the matter in accordance with your legal rights. For all faulty or incorrect items received, after processing all reasonable delivery charges will be refunded back to your original payment method.

6.4 If an exchange is necessary due to a fault or incorrect item, this will be arranged without unreasonable delay and without charge. Replacement goods will not be dispatched until the original goods have been received at our warehouse and checked or in some circumstances, an adequate photo of the faulty product received and agreed.

6.5 If an item is no longer available we will offer an alternative. However our liability will be to replace the faulty goods only and in some instances we may be unable to guarantee an exact match - In this instance you will have the option of a refund.

7.1 The products sold on this website have been designed to comply with relevant UK legislation. We cannot warrant or represent that they comply with all legal requirements outside the UK.
